Wahroonga is a small but lively supported living community situated amongst 24 peaceful acres in rural Biloela, Central Queensland. Our 65 residents access a variety of high care, low care and dementia-specific support, and we also offer independent living in nine retirement units. These co-located accommodation options mean residents can continue to be part of the Wahroonga community and also offer opportunities for couples to stay together, regardless of changing needs. Our dedicated and skilled staff are one of our major assets. One of our staff members was presented with a national award for creating a tranquil atmosphere in the secure dementia unit, and another received a Rotary Pride of Workmanship Award.Residents continue to be involved with the local community. Some residents choose to crochet beanies for babies born in the local hospital, while an inter-generational program links school students and Wahroonga residents.
