The Toowoomba region is at the heart of the Lutheran Church’s history as a supported living provider, with a local congregation opening the church’s first Queensland facility, Salem Rest Home, in 1935. With the addition of Northridge Salem in 1997, Lutheran Services now provides 133 residential aged care beds and 128 home care packages to the region.Today, Salem and Northridge Salem specialise in personalised aged care services focused on individual wellbeing and an enriched quality of life. Residents and their families can choose from a range of single shared-bathroom or private ensuite rooms.In addition to 24/7 on call assistance, residents can access allied health support, meals provided by onsite chefs, social groups, and curated activity programs. Salem residents can enjoy morning tea in the onsite café or a movie in the cinema room, while Northridge Salem residents can enjoy private and communal gardens or be with friends in the community hall and chapel.
