Brightwater Birralee is a cosy aged care home located in Innaloo, offering a suburban, homely setting for 30 permanent residents and 30 transition care clients. Birralee provides high quality care for people with a range of needs, including those with advanced dementia and high care needs, with both dementia specific and non-dementia specific care available.
Residents enjoy private rooms across two individual houses, each with its own living room, kitchen, dining room and small library. Expansive gardens and gazebo areas surround the houses, and a large clubhouse and hairdressing salon sits at the centre. Following a 2019 renovation, the home has a brighter, more contemporary feel, with calm surroundings, enhanced lighting, new artwork and wayfinding signage.
Each private room has its own ensuite, an adjustable electric bed with hotel quality linen, individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioning and generous built-in storage. Many rooms overlook the courtyards and gardens.
Meals are prepared by the home's own catering team, with a regularly changing menu of tasty, nutritious dishes, including familiar favourites. Every meal is tested and approved by dietitians and speech pathologists to cater for all diet textures. An in-house Brightwater allied health team, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a podiatrist and social workers, supports residents, and there are plenty of social activities and sunny landscaped gardens to enjoy.
