Welcome to Johnson-Goodwin Memorial Homes, located in Donald. Our Goodwin Village residential care is designed for residents who need greater assistance in their daily lives, while encouraging each person to remain as independent as they wish. Support is available with personal care routines such as bathing and showering, dressing, meal times and special diets, toileting and continence management, mobility and medication. Our care is provided around the clock by dedicated care staff, supervised by registered nurses and guided by individualised care plans. Staffed by local people, you will receive consistent care from familiar faces. Residents enjoy single rooms, each with their own ensuite, and meals cooked with care in our on-site kitchen. An extensive lifestyle program runs each weekday morning and afternoon, with activities ranging from bingo and bocce to bible stories and happy hour. Our residential building has four wings, two dining rooms and three lounge areas, with tea bays for relaxing and chatting. Lawns, gardens, walking tracks and verandas with outdoor furniture give residents and visitors plenty of space to socialise outdoors. Visits from religious leaders, volunteers, hairdressers and community groups add to the warm, community feel, and our local general practitioner, pharmacist and allied health professionals provide regular support.
