Aged Care Home overview:

Leighton is a warm and welcoming aged care home located in West Perth, centrally positioned with Beatty Park Leisure Centre across the road and Leederville's café strip nearby. With bright activity areas and sunny courtyards, Leighton offers a comfortable home with a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. For your peace of mind, residents receive 24-hour care from registered nurses, supported by a dedicated team of enrolled nurses and personal carers. The team has the expertise to assist with complex care requirements and will always discuss care with residents and their families. Leighton has been fully accredited by the Australian Government, meeting all 42 of the expected outcomes. The activity program changes each month and includes bus trips and outings, arts and crafts, movie days and theme days, with regular musical performances, fetes, raffles and visits from school groups supported by a number of volunteers. Families and friends are welcome at any time to enjoy a cup of tea in the gardens or lounge areas, or to take their loved one on an outing to Leederville, Mount Lawley, the city or nearby parks. Rooms are furnished for residents, who are encouraged to bring personal belongings such as photographs and soft furnishings to feel at home. Meals are prepared in a central kitchen by an executive chef, sous chef and dietitian, who create menus that provide variety and maximum nutritional value without compromising on taste.
