For more than 40 years, Morrie Evans Wing has proudly provided high-quality residential aged care to the Benalla community and surrounding region. As part of Benalla Health, residents benefit from close links to acute, primary and community health services, ensuring continuity of care. Morrie Evans Wing is located in Benalla and currently offers 30 residential aged care beds, with approval to build an additional 10. Modern single rooms each feature a private ensuite, built-in storage and internet access, designed to support comfort, dignity, independence and a familiar homelike environment. Residents enjoy shared dining areas, relaxation lounges, activity spaces and beautifully maintained gardens with safe outdoor areas and BBQ facilities. Care is person-centred, with care plans developed alongside residents and families to reflect individual preferences, goals and cultural needs. The facility is accredited to provide all levels of residential aged care, including high-level and end-of-life (palliative) care, supported by registered and enrolled nurses available 24/7, personal care attendants, allied health professionals and dedicated lifestyle staff. A rich lifestyle program includes dance and movement, pet therapy, music therapy, cards and games, exercise groups, community outings, and celebrations of birthdays and cultural events.
