Borella House is an integral part of the local community, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that helps create a great sense of community and belonging for residents, families and staff. Situated just off the Hume Highway in East Albury, it is close to the centre of Albury and Albury Base Hospital, with easy access to services, shopping and travel. The home offers 64 single rooms with personal ensuites, all air conditioned, each with secure access to either a private balcony or garden terrace. A full range of care supports ageing in place, so residents can remain here as their lives and needs change. Healthy meals are cooked onsite, and laundry, housekeeping and personal care services are provided by trained, caring staff who aim to keep the homely environment friendly, safe and fun. A diverse activities program includes group exercises, newspaper readings and discussions, quizzes, bingo, walking, entertainment, crafts, choir, scenic drives and bus trips to the city, parks and shopping centres. Services also include chaplaincy support, church services, regular visits from healthcare professionals, library services and a hairdresser. Respecting the beliefs, backgrounds, customs and interests of all residents, Borella House is a place where everybody is welcome. It is accredited by the Australian Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.
