Doreen Bond House is a residential aged care home located in North Adelaide, just 3km from the Adelaide CBD. Part of Helping Hand, a South Australian not-for-profit, it sits alongside Rotary House on one co-located campus. Residents receive 24-hour care, including personal care, nursing, meals, lifestyle activities and dementia support, in a safe and welcoming environment. Walking through the entrance, you pass the aroma of the café, the library, the handcrafted items in the gift shop and the chapel, and the home feels like a town centre in itself. Most rooms are single rooms with a private ensuite, and residents are encouraged to bring personal items and make their space their own.
