HammondCare Daw Park is a purpose-built dementia care village, modelled on a regular family household. Its small cottages are thoughtfully designed to improve quality of life, with accessible features such as family-style home kitchens that encourage continued involvement in daily activities. Each cottage has easy access to gardens, a central domestic kitchen, and a mix of shared living areas and quiet, comfortable spots to relax, and the village includes an onsite general store and salon. The residential aged care team is trained in specialised dementia care and cares for each person as an individual, learning about their history, passions, values and hobbies so they can remain as independent as possible and make their own choices. Backed by HammondCare's experience of over 90 years caring for people in need, including 30 years caring for people with dementia, the team is dedicated to compassionate care and clinical excellence. The village welcomes people of all faiths and of no faith, with a Pastoral Care team offering support to residents and families, including a carers' support group. Trained volunteers offer company, friendship, art and music engagement, gardening, pet therapy and spiritual care, and partnerships with pharmacy and allied health providers support holistic care. Located in Daw Park, it is an inviting place to feel familiar and at home.
